Your First Visit
Your First Visit | Patient Forms | Financial | Testimonials
Your first visit to Comfort Family Dental typically includes an x-ray that allows Dr. Rick to view the structure of the jaw, the position of any teeth that have not yet erupted, malformed roots and tooth decay.
The initial visit also involves getting your medical history. When you share your medical history with Dr. Rick, be sure to provide complete, up-to-date information on your health. Please inform us if you have experienced recent hospitalization or surgery, or if you have recently been ill. Tell Dr. Rick the names, dosage, and frequency of any medications you are taking - whether prescription or over-the-counter products - and the name of your physician. Inform us of any changes in your health or medications. This information will help Dr. Rick to select the safest and most effective method of treatment for you.
Consultation
After Dr. Rick has evaluated your records, we discuss any follow-up treatment with you in detail.
Regular Appointments
Regular checkup appointments typically take 45 to 60 minutes. Patients are seen by appointment only. We make every effort to be on time for our patients and ask that you extend the same courtesy to us. If you cannot keep an appointment, please notify us at least 48 hours prior to it.
Payment & Office Policies
Cost
The cost of treatment depends on the severity of the patient's problem. You will be able to discuss fees and payment options before treatment begins. We accept assignment from most insurance plans, and we will file the necessary papers to the insurance company. We work hard to make dental care affordable and to make sure that you realize your insurance benefits.
Fees
In an effort to keep fees down while maintaining the highest level of professional care, we have established this financial policy:
- To fit your individual needs for extensive treatments, financial arrangements thru our outside finance company, CareCredit, can be made to extend your payments over a period of months. For more information about this option, please go to www.carecredit.com.
- For your convenience, we accept payment by VISA, MASTERCARD, AMERICAN EXPRESS AND DISCOVER.
Insurance
If you have insurance, we will help you to determine the coverage you have available. Professional care is provided to you, our patient, and not to an insurance company. Thus, the insurance company is responsible to the patient and patients are responsible to the doctor. We will help in every way we can in filing your claim and handling insurance questions from our office on your behalf.
